Ornitopiraguada

A quiet kayaking route, suitable for all audiences, which will allow us to discover which birds we can find on the river and observe them in their natural habitat.

The stretch we will cover, between García and Móra d’Ebre, is very special due to the quantity of birds that can be seen there, especially at the points where the Siurana river flows into it and at the Subarrec Island, both of great natural interest.

We will start the activity in Garcia, with a small introduction to ornithology and kayak technique. Then we will distribute the kayak material and start the route.

It will be a basic-level activity, suitable for all audiences. No prior knowledge of ornithology or kayaking is required, but if you already have some experience, it will be a great opportunity to share knowledge and experiences.

Approximate schedule:

The duration of the activity (between 2 and 3 hours in total) is approximate, as it depends on the participants’ skill with the kayak, the river conditions, and the interactions that may occur.

Start at 9:30 AM at Pas de Barca de Garcia

Who can participate:

It is an activity open to all audiences, and no prior knowledge of kayaking or ornithology is required. However, it should be noted that in order to observe birds, it is necessary to be as silent as possible, and if small children come, they should be told not to make noise or shout, in order not to disturb the birds and the other participants.

Price:

€15 per person. Spots will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
